HP PAVILION XF battery tips
- Your new HP PAVILION XF laptop battery comes in a discharged condition and must be charged before use (refer to your computer manual for charging instructions).
- When charging HP PAVILION XF battery for the first time your computer may indicate that charging is complete after just 10 or 15 minutes. This is a normal phenomenon with rechargeable batteries. Simply remove the battery from the computer and repeat the charging procedure.
- If laptop battery will not be in use for a month or longer, it is recommended that it be removed from the device and stored in a cool, dry, clean place.
- After 3 years of reasonable use you will be entering the stage of possible total battery failure.
- A primary battery is not intended to be recharged and is discarded when the battery has delivered all of its electrical energy.
- A rechargeable battery is a galvanic battery which, after discharge, is restored to the fully charged state by the passage of an electrical current through the cell in the opposite direction to that of discharge.
- If you want to get a bit more juice out of a battery, fully discharged and recharged it several times in a row. It may be a pain, let your laptop run until the system shuts down. Then recharge it and, if you have time, discharge and recharge it a second time.
- The last option would be to buy a second battery to change or a large 3rd party laptop battery to massively increase battery life.
